Similarly, on the open-source path, itโs not the destination that matters, but everything that happens along the way: the ideas, drafts, bugs, updates, fixes, milestones, and the contributions of those who share the same wavelength and come together to improve the world of telecommunication software.
To stay true to that spirit, ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ก ๐๐ถ๐ป๐๐

BBF NetworkX 2024 Demo video available
NetworkX in Paris this year marked the end of a busy period for the BISDN team, as we could finally present the WT-474 demo(s) that were central to this year’s Innovation Demonstrations of the Broadband Forum.
A couple of weeks later, we now have the video nicely cut, thanks to Ken Pyle of BBF, and there is the full explainer on the BBF’s YouTube channel.
Building multivendor demonstrations is a big effort, and occasionally, you ask yourself if it is worth the hassle. OK, here is the answer: it is.
Recently, our CEO Hagen Woesner had the privilege to present a slide set of ‘lessons learned’ from this demo at the Fall Meeting of BBF in San Diego. The slides were discussed vividly in the working group, as we had come across some issues that were ambiguous in the Working Text.
These demos verify what we write into the TRs of BBF, and serve as anticipated plugfests. Getting closer to the notion of ‘rough consensus and running code’ that was successfully propagated by IETF, the hope is to become more relevant for the industry.
